KICKING OFF THE MAS UPGRADE PROJECT WITH PV POWER
In the context of digital transformation within the energy sector, Asset Management plays a pivotal role in ensuring continuous operation and cost optimization. We are honored to continue serving as the trusted technology partner chosen by PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) for the Asset Management System Upgrade (Upgrade MAS) project.
💡 Motivation and Expectations from PV Power: Moving beyond merely maintaining the legacy system, PV Power has set a crucial objective to enhance Asset Lifecycle control capabilities and optimize operation and maintenance (O&M) costs. This Upgrade MAS project is expected to:
- Provide comprehensive, Real-time Visibility into the status of assets across the entire system.
- Support the Board of Management in making strategic decisions based on deep data analysis, thereby increasing equipment lifespan and plant operational performance.
🔍 Scale and Challenges: The project is deployed on a Multi-site model (the Corporation and 4 member units) with high complexity, requiring deep integration with the existing SAP B1 and E-cat systems. This is not just a technological upgrade, but also a challenge regarding the synchronization of management processes on a large scale.
🚀 Key Focus Areas:
- Platform Upgrade: Migrating the MAS system to the latest version.
- Consulting & Optimization: Fine-tuning functions and the reporting system, ensuring alignment with the specific operational characteristics of each plant while maintaining unified centralized management.
🎯 Commitment and Expertise: This is a significant milestone, marking the 3rd MAS project we are preparing to deploy and the 2nd specialized project for the Power sector. With this extensive practical experience and a deep understanding of PV Power’s processes, our project team is confident in setting a challenging target: To shorten the deployment timeline and Go-live 1 month ahead of the schedule.
This goal aims to ensure the system is ready to serve and provide powerful support for the client’s critical operational plans during the upcoming peak period. The success of this project will further affirm our capability in deploying large-scale enterprise solutions.
